Bayonne Public Schools (NJ) is seeking an experienced, energetic, student-centered visionary, and collaborative leader to head its highly diverse school district. The district serves 10,068 students in 12 schools with a current annual budget of approximately $137.5 million. There are eleven schools grades PreK-8, and Bayonne High School. Superintendent/CSA experience is preferred. Central Office experience is required.

Located in Hudson County, the City of Bayonne is situated on a peninsula between Newark Bay to the west, the Kill Van Kull to the south, New York Bay to the east, and is connected by land to Jersey City to the north. Bayonne has an eclectic downtown area featuring small businesses and restaurants. The Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor is also home to businesses and luxury cruise ships. Bayonne’s 67,000+ residents also have easy access via public and private transportation to New York City, linking them with the arts, entertainment, and a variety of cultural venues.

• Support of the proactive use of technology to drive 21^st Century skills and delivering administrative practices and classroom instruction in an interactive, engaging and individualized manner.
• A deep understanding of early childhood learning and its effects on subsequent academic success   
• Fiscal acumen in budget development and creative and equitable use of financial resources.
• Fresh and unique ideas that support programs fostering successful home, school, and community partnerships.
• Excellent and enthusiastic communication skills.
• Ability to recruit and maintain an excellent staff.
