Provides writing and editorial services to the school division through the Policy, Government and Media Relations Department.
Essential Job Functions:
Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of the English language and its proper usages. Demonstrated ability in writing for publications; in organizing and completing multiple tasks in a timely manner and in communicating both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to effectively use photography equipment, personal computers and related software, to include PageMaker.
Requirements:
Four-year degree in public relations, mass communications or related field and Master's degree or accreditation in public relations preferred. Five or more years experience in public relations or related field preferred. Education, training, or experience sufficient to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Essential Job Functions:
- Writes and edits publications, to include employee newsletter, parent handbook, profile, community publications, budget fact sheet, brochures and other school division publications and marketing materials for schools, departments and the school division.
- Researches and writes news releases and public service announcements.
- Edits weekly tip sheet to media.
- Develops communication plans and products to implement plans.
- Takes photographs for school division publications.
- Oversees school division's social media platforms.
- Provides editorial services to Superintendent and other departments.
- Prepares specifications for bidding and mailing services for certain publications.
- Other duties as required to assist in the public relations efforts of the school division.
