Project Coordinator, Evaluation

The Evaluation Department is responsible for collecting, cleaning, maintaining, and analyzing all participation data for HCZ. We are seeking a full-time employee who will (1) serve as a department project assistant to support the Director of Evaluation and (2) provide support to HCZ's numerous initiatives with a focus on the Healthy Harlem initiative. This person will coordinate projects within the evaluation department and across departments and programs covering the broader agency, as well as provide integral support to the ongoing evaluation of Healthy Harlem. The ideal candidate will be engaging, detail-oriented, and able to work with colleagues of diverse backgrounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to the evaluation department with data entry, data cleaning, data collection training and facilitation, data quality checks, and coordinating focus groups, across a range of program areas, with a particular focus on health-related programming
  • Communicate with site-based data and program staff to verify data and provide support for data collection and quality assurance processes
  • Collaborate with Healthy Harlem program leadership to plan and implement data collection and information dissemination, and to strategize about analysis and data-driven program design
  • Support and perform analyses related to Healthy Harlem program impact and implementation
  • Provide departmental operations support including: coordinating the Director of Evaluation's schedule, coordinating and managing inter- and intra-department meetings, and other needs such as facilities, maintenance, IT, and telecommunications requests
  • Assist communications between HCZ and external evaluation partners
  • Maintain evaluation calendar and make meeting arrangements
  • Organize, compile, and prepare documents
  • Prepare and manage contracts for external evaluators or researchers
  • Perform general administrative duties including, but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, and ordering supplies

Qualification, Skills and Knowledge Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with experience providing administrative, project management, and/or operations support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to function well as part of a team and work independently
  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail and exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Proactive and creative problem-solver
  • Prior experience with youth/adults of diverse backgrounds and/or community-based organizations is a plus
