Special Education Teacher

Job Description:

Camelot Education, a leader in providing special education services, is recruiting creative, compassionate, and caring individuals to join our team. We are seeking a Special Education Teacher for our 7th-8th grade classroom our Naperville, Illinois campus.

Camelot of Naperville serves students K-21 and provides quality academic and therapeutic services to students with ED/LD/OHI as well as students with Developmental Disabilities including Autism. Students are supported by a team of professionals that include School Administrators, Special Education Teachers and Paraprofessionals, Therapists and Related Service Providers.

The Special Education Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities. The teacher provides academic instruction in a self-contained classroom setting and is responsible for the overall management of the classroom. The teacher will work as part of an interdisciplinary team ensuring that a student's IEP goals are being met.

Experience and Skills:

• Current Illinois Teacher Certification with Special Education LBS1 Endorsement
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience working with similar population in a school setting preferred
• Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
