SALARY RANGE: $125,000-$135,000

Job Description
The Jamestown City School District (JCSD) is presently accepting applications for the high school principal position starting July 1, 2019. The district is specifically looking for a transformational leader who will be part of an energized, positive, and healthy leadership team dedicated to instructional excellence. Candidates need to be instructional leaders who are respected for their progressive knowledge of evidence-based pedagogy. The new principal will ensure that the culture and physical aesthetics of the high school are culturally responsive to the student body and best practices for learning. Additionally, the new principal will oversee a facilities review of the high school and to recommend new cutting-edge learning spaces that support college-bound requirements and needs of the local labor market.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The High School Principal will be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:

- The Principal will be expected to perform additional related duties as required.
- Possession of a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or related field
- Minimum of three years administrative experience in education
- Adaptable to the complexities of the urban school environment
- Strong belief that all students can learn at high levels and focus on building a school-wide culture
- Proven leadership experience to accelerate student academic and learning performance
- Experience in establishing a safe school culture that is conducive to student needs and student learning
- Familiar with school-level best practices to build and sustain change
- Deep knowledge of current trends and best practices in education policy and research, including comprehensive assessment systems and data-driven instruction
- Experience in successful design and delivery of educator professional development
- Proven success in conducting rigorous evaluations of educator and school staff performance
