Description:
Stevenson High School is looking for a long term susbstitute to serve as a School Social Worker or School Psychologist from approximatley April 15th, 2019 through approximately September 23rd, 2019.
This assignment will cover approximatley six weeks at the end of the 2018/2019 school year, and continue for approximately six weeks at the start of the 2019/2020 school year.
The social worker/school psychologist provides individual and group counseling services and crisis intervention support for students. The social worker/school psychologist participates in weekly meetings of Student Support Teams (which consist of a counselor, social worker, dean, and school psychologist) to collaboratively identify students in need of support and discuss appropriate interventions in an effort to help students experience greater academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success.
Qualifications:
ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker or School Psychologist endorsement. Interested applicants must possess knowledge of the RtI problem-solving process and school-based individual and group counseling techniques.
