Staff Needed: One (1) Certified School Nurse

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
The School Nurse serves as the primary advocate for the health and well-being of students and staff within the schools. Responsibilities include health screenings and services, emergency first aid, the care of those who are ill and injured while in the school, maintenance of health records, and instruction in sound health practices.

Qualifications:

• Registered Professional Nurse - Licensed by the Division of Consumer Affairs - in the State of New Jersey
• Must meet (at minimum) NJ State/DOE requirements for School Nurse Emergency Certification
• NJ Department of Education Standards Instructional School Nurse Certificate (preferred)
• CPR-AED Valid Health Care Provider and Professional Rescuer Certification
• Must have excellent interpersonal and organization skills
• Must be computer literate
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students. parents, and community
• Must have applicable nursing experience as it applies to the delivery of nursing care in the school setting
• Must be enrolled or eligible for enrollment in a NJ School Nurse Certification Program (if not certified)
