Job Description
JOB GOAL:
The CPPI Coordinator will oversee the Preschool Expansion Grant; will coordinate the collaboration between five Community Grantees: New Bedford Public School, Little People College, NBPS, North Star, PACE, YMCA; and will coordinate the implementation of Preschool classrooms that expand access, align and improve quality of local early education systems servicing 3 & 4 year olds through partnerships between public school district and local EEC early education programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's Degree. Master preferred.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in Early Childhood Education.
3. Understanding and experience with Early Childhood regulations and requirements.
4. Experience completing Early Childhood screening assessments or willingness to be trained.
5. Knowledge of community support services available to Early Childhood students and their families;
6. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills; organizational abilities; problem solving skills; and the ability to define and complete goals.
7. Basic Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
8. Experience working with teachers, administrators, service providers, families and community agencies to better integrate services for students in New Bedford.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides staff leadership in promoting the understanding of the CPPI Grant objectives and coordinate professional development for instructional personnel to meet these objectives.
2. Coordinate and ensure screening, placement, and registration process for children aged 2.9 to 5 years of age is completed in collaboration with the five Community Grantees and the NBPS Family Welcome Center.
3. Collaborate with Preschool and Early Intervention Programs regarding referrals, recruitment, screening, placements, and other CPPI Community Grantees partnership efforts including the Birth-3rd partnership.
4. Assist with the collection and analysis of data related to Early Childhood compliance indicators to the CPPI.
5. Facilitate and participate in meetings as needed.
6. Maintain knowledge and understanding of EEC- QRIS standards.
7. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Educational Access and Pathways, and CPPI Community Grantees.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a non-union position
WORK YEAR: Calendar year position - Twelve (12) months
WORK DAY: Part-time (20-25 hours per week). Flexible schedule
SALARY: $40 per hour rate
