   License and Certification Qualifications: None required.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required.

Experience Qualifications: Three years of experience designing and developing data reporting solutions and working with Student Information Systems required. Experience using Synergy preferred.

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for managing federal and state data reporting for Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) to ensure regulatory compliance and managing student information applications to collect and validate data.

1. Develop, implement, and monitor acceptable performance targets for the Student Information Systems data support team.
a. Provide guidance and training pertaining to data reporting matters.
b. Provide and maintain regulatory standards and guidelines.

2. Manage processing and data quality of regulatory reporting projects.
a. Manage daily student data reporting and error validation processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of major state and federal reporting projects, including monthly Georgia statewide Student Information Systems reporting, annual College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) review, and annual Office of Civil Rights reporting.
b. Assure quality of daily, monthly, and seasonal student data reports processing.
c. Participate in the development of policies and procedures pertaining to state and federal student data reporting.
d. Oversee preparation of reports for monitoring Student Information Systems processes across various departments to ensure proper data input and validation procedures.
e. Provide information and report to appropriate levels of GCPS administration.
f. Contribute to development, implementation, and maintenance of the Student Information Systems processing timeline and communications plan timeline.
g. Manage application requirements specification and testing to view, analyze, and transmit student data to federal and state data collections agencies and collaborate with divisional application designers and developers to assure quality of transmissions and external reports.
h. Manage development and maintenance of necessary training for school and central office staff pertaining to student data collection for regulatory purposes.

3. Manage the planning, testing, and delivery of student information applications to collect and validate data required for federal and state reporting.
a. Serve as the liaison between departments across the district to verify Student Information Systems requirements and reporting are satisfied.
b. Develop and maintain working understanding of GCPS policies, Department of Education Board rules, procedural guidelines, and state data layout definitions which define student information reporting requirements, including monthly Georgia statewide Student Information Systems guidelines, Georgia Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) calculations and reporting requirements, Georgia CCRPI rules and calculations, Federal Office of Civil Rights reporting, and other regulatory rulings guiding student information processes and procedures.
c. Participate in local and state training classes and user groups to remain current on reporting requirements and best practices.
d. Act as the liaison with other divisions/departments to provide student information data to other applications and initiatives such as IEP.Online, data warehouse, Results-Based Evaluation System (RBES), nutrition, assessment, curriculum, and special programs.
e. Coordinate with the operational systems team to ensure timely and effective integration of Student Information Systems data with interfacing systems.

4. Perform other duties as assigned.
