The School District of Clayton is seeking teachers for Wydown Summer Academy. As a teacher in the Summer Academy you will design instruction that offers our middle school students academic support based on our current curriculum. Teachers will benefit from a planning/professional development day, access to building resources, smaller class sizes and a chance to collaborate with amazing colleagues.
Criteria for Support Classes:
Teacher certification required
Teacher expectations are based on the Standards of Professional Practice
Instructional practice, student work expectations, and assessment requirements align with the school year
Instruction is based on District curriculum
Assessment data is analyzed prior to instruction
Progress monitoring and analysis of growth during instructional program
Parent communication before and during program
PD Day attendance prior to summer school
Commitment to full length of program
Demonstration of collegial collaboration
Specifics of how classes will be arranged will be discussed during interviews.
