QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working in human resources or related field.

Experience conducting employment and/or civil rights investigations.

Experience developing policies and procedures, preferred.

Knowledge about equal employment opportunity, equity, diversity and inclusion.

Experience fostering environments that promote equal employment opportunity, equity, diversity and inclusion, preferred.

Knowledgeable about current employment laws.

Strong written communication.

Strong research skills.

Ability to organize, plan, and track multiple projects and cases, and related details.

Ability to consistently meet deadlines.

Ability to conduct investigations in a thorough, prompt, and objective manner.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work in a high paced environment.

Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Bachelor's degree preferred

Certification recognized by SHRM and/or HRCI preferred.

REPORTS TO: Chief of Talent & Employee Engagement

SUPERVISES: No direct reports

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Support an employment environment of equal employment opportunity, equity, diversity and inclusion.

Contribute to the development of programs, initiatives, policies and procedures that foster positive and effective work environments.

Collaborate in the development and implementation of training programs, professional development, and toolkits related to employee and labor relations.

Ensure that effective distribution of policies and procedures (administrative regulations).

Ensure District-wide compliance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Investigate problems such as working conditions, disciplinary actions, and employee and applicant appeals and grievances. Complete comprehensive investigative reports. Provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to administrators, supervisors, and/or individuals.

Develop and maintain external partnerships to provide resources and/or support effective resolution to a variety of employee relations matters.

Manage conflict resolution program.

Prepare and present reports.

Provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws.

Ensures compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations.

Complete other projects as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full year. Salary to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance is evaluated in accordance with the Compensation and Performance Evaluation Plan for School and District Leaders.

Physical Demands:

Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time

Standing for limited periods of time

Occasional bending, crouching, stooping, twisting, reaching and grasping

Light lifting- up to 15 pounds

Repetitive movement of fingers and hands for keyboarding.

Sensory Abilities:

Visual acuity to read correspondence and computer screens.

Auditory acuity to be able to use telephones.

Ability to speak clearly and distinctly.

Temperament:

Ability to work as a member of a team.

Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people.
