   License and Certification Qualifications: None required.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field required.

Experience Qualifications: Three years experience in public relations or communications required, including specific experience as a social media manager and proven photography skills.

Skills Qualifications: Proficiency with a wide range of productivity and design software packages and graphic design tools for social media. Working knowledge of Adobe Create Suite (specifically Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Acrobat Professional). Ability to write short, news-formatted and feature stories. Experience using Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media platforms. Ability to coordinate content on multiple platforms. Ability to effectively monitor social media channels. Ability to develop and sustain digital marketing campaigns. Experience using Microsoft Office suite. Ability to work independently and in teams. Eye for detail and strong proofreading skills. Ability to set priorities and take initiative. Ability to respond positively to changing priorities. Working knowledge of digital cameras and basic principles of good photography. Video and audio production experience is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for managing the district's social media strategy and developing content. Individual must be able to coordinate content on multiple platforms and be able to effectively develop and sustain digital marketing campaigns. Another related responsibility is to serve as a district photographer, taking, editing, and posting photos for use in social media and in other communication vehicles. In addition, this position will provide graphic design support and contribute other general communications support.

1. Manage the district's social media strategy.
a. Create posts and manage the district's social media sites.
b. Research and continually improve the district's social media strategy, promoting the district's presence and increasing reach on strategic social media channels.
c. Develop and promote branded content and contribute to the district's overall brand.
d. Increase social media engagement to advance the district's vision and mission.
e. Provide graphics support, primarily in the creation of social media and web-friendly graphics and infographics.

2. Serve as team member in promoting and maintaining Gwinnett County Public Schools desired image and the department's reputation for quality.
a. Support other team members to develop electronic communication options.
b. Maintain high standards and conform to GCPS' style and editorial policy, ensuring accuracy in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and adherence to GCPS style.

3. Take photographs and film video for use on multiple channels, to include social media, web, print, and television.

4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. Employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to handle, feel, and/or reach. Employee is required to climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Employee will be required to drive to other locations in the district for research, photography assignments, and reporting in order to create posts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Punctual, regular and consistent attendance is required. Rare, occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
