UX Designer ( 12 month contract)

About this role....

NWEA is looking for a UX Designer to join a discovery team in our Product Engineering department. This designer will be working directly with our external partners to better their experience in the areas of login & user management, Rostering, Test sessions, and the initial onboarding process.

This designer needs to be able to handle complex workflows, and work with a large group of stakeholders. They will interact with a wide range of internal departments, so collaboration and building relationships will be key.

The UX Designer is responsible for contributing to the design of the UX strategy and intuitive experience that satisfies the business and user requirements. The UX Designer is also responsible for organizing content into user centric categories, creating a navigational structure, and interface requirements to support the task and information needed.

Education and Experience...

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Information Design, Web Design or related field, or comparable experience in the Industry
  • Three to five years' experience in documenting and creating interactive solutions to meet the clien ts ' business requirements and objectives (provide portfolio of implemented user designs)
  • Three to five years of exhibited knowledge in developing products or systems, or comparable education.
  • Two to three years' experience leading the designs of one or more complex application(s) or services
  • Knowledge of accessibility and accommodation requirements related to User Interface development preferred
