DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The Board of Cooperative Educational Services of Clinton-Essex-Warren-Washington Counties, aka, Champlain Valley Educational Services (CVES) (website: http://www.cves.org) is seeking applicants for the position of District Superintendent and Chief Executive Officer. This dual role involves serving as regional representative of the Commissioner of Education and Chief Executive Officer of our cooperative educational services agency. We have 17 component school districts with a pupil base of 14,124. CVES covers 2,343 square miles, lying in the northeast corner of NYS, encompassing the Adirondack Mountains to the South and West and bordering Lake Champlain to the East. The successful candidate must possess a NYS Certificate as a School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL)/School Building Leader (SBL) and be otherwise qualified to serve in the position of District Superintendent & Chief Executive Officer. The salary is based upon experience, preparation and record as a leader, up to $166,762 (currently allowable NYS maximum). Benefits established by NYS Law. The desired start date is August 1, 2013.
