One of the nation's preeminent school systems is seeking an
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT FOR HUMAN RESOURCES
Since its founding in the late 1950's, Bedford Central, a school community with 4,400 children who reflect the ethnic and racial diversity of our nation, has pioneered most of the major successful practices in American schooling. It is now seeking strong leadership for its Human Resources Division.
The successful candidate will be:
• A systems thinker who can help the district develop a renewed vision of its Human Resources Division, responsive to the challenges of the most current educational thought and practice
• An experienced educational leader with highly-developed people skills who is approachable and collaborative in working with staff and the public
• A administrator who is facile in the use of data and technology, and dependable, timely and accurate in providing responses to requests for information
• An excellent communicator (speaking, writing, listening) who utilizes a variety of media to ensure that staff are well informed with respect to human resource programs, services and procedures
Candidates must be eligible for NY State certification as a School District Leader (SDL).
The district is prepared to offer a regionally-competitive compensation package.
