The Newfound Area School District, SAU #4, located in Bristol, New Hampshire and comprised of the towns of Alexandria, Bridgewater, Bristol, Danbury, Groton, Hebron and New Hampton invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Superintendent of Schools. SAU #4 is a single-district school administrative unit with one school board - the Newfound Area School District (NASD) School Board. The district is located in the beautiful Newfound Lake region which is 25 miles northwest of Concord, New Hampshire and accessed via Interstate 93. The attractive and popular Lakes Region and the White Mountains are within easy travel distance as is Concord, the capital city.
There are 1,275 students in grades Pre-K – 12 housed in six buildings: four elementary, the Newfound Memorial Middle School and the Newfound Regional High School. The schools enjoy active community involvement and support.
The successful candidate must have experience as a teacher, building leader and system-wide administrator and be committed to continuing the tradition of providing for the range of needs of students.
The seven-member school board offers a multi-year contract with a competitive area salary and benefits package commensurate with qualifications and experience. Screening of applicants will begin after February 1, 2013 with a starting date of July 1, 2013 or earlier if the selected candidate is available.
