SAU 87 Superintendent Vacancy
The Mascenic Regional School District is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking individual to be their next Superintendent of schools. This school district is highly focused and has a history of strong strategic planning. The new educational leader needs to have a history of active engagement in a professional, inclusive, and visible manner.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated effectiveness in fostering quality, cutting-edge educational practices and possesses:
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively assess and convey the school district’s priorities, needs, and accomplishments;
A collaborative and participatory management style with a history of effective team building;
The ability to motivate, empower, and build capacity in others in a positive and trusting interactive climate;
Understanding of the Common Core Curriculum, differentiation, effective instruction, standards-based accountability, assessments, implementation strategies and the ability to promote exemplary learning environments;
Skill and experience in budget development and management with the capacity to invest in positive growth options while being fiscally conservative;
A sensitivity to cultural diversity and the willingness to learn and understand local values; and
Personal integrity, enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and the ability to develop and promote these qualities in others.
Qualifications:
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a superintendent in New Hampshire;
- Advanced degree C.A.G.S. or above preferred;
- Minimum of 5 years in education with successful experience as an administrator or equivalent;
- Successful experience in budgeting, grants, school finance/business management;
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations; and
- Experience with technology that is current and applicable to today’s students.
