Excellent opportunity to lead a premiere school district in the metro Houston
area! The Board of Trustees of the Fort Bend ISD, the 7th largest district in
Texas, is seeking a visionary and results-oriented superintendent who has the
ability to provide dynamic leadership for a dedicated staff of over 7,900
members and a very involved community. The superintendent will serve the
educational needs of almost 70,000 students in 74 schools; 45 elementary,
14 middle, 11 high, and 4 unique schools. An operating budget in excess of
$481M supports the District’s comprehensive program.
The Board seeks an individual who places students as his/her primary focus,
has demonstrated the ability to improve academic achievement in a high
performing and diverse district, and possesses the leadership skills required
to advance a large suburban district to its next level of excellence.
