John Eliot Elementary School
The Needham Public Schools invites candidates to apply for the position of Principal at the Eliot Elementary School, a small, diverse school serving 375 students in grades K-5. The Eliot School is part of a high performing suburban school district serving 5500 students in eight schools, 14 miles outside the city of Boston.
The Eliot is a beautiful school rebuilt in 2003 and offers a wonderful learning environment for students. The faculty and staff work collaboratively, value both academics and social-emotional development with rich traditions both inside and outside of school. Students at the Eliot are caring, appreciative and friendly.
The district seeks a Principal who is visible and values the relationships with faculty, students and parents. The Principal must be an excellent communicator, committed to student achievement, innovative, and community minded.
Candidates must be licensed as a Principal and have prior leadership experience at the elementary level as an assistant principal, principal or curriculum administrator.
The salary is highly competitive based on experience.
