The Recruiter is primarily responsible for staffing all of SABIS® U.S. Schools, Corporate and Regional Offices with quality hires, understanding the needs and partnering with the hiring manager (i.e. School Directors), and Human Resources to fully understand the staffing strategy for each School and office. The recruiter will refine and execute best-in-class sourcing, outreach, marketing, recruitment, and selection practices to identify, hire, and place high-quality teachers, leaders and other staff across the SABIS® network. The incumbent will also support employee onboarding, talent management, and employee engagement strategies that advance the mission and vision of SABIS® U.S. Schools.

The position reports to the HR Director.

Preferably, the recruiter will be located at one of our regional offices -- Flint, MI or Springfield, MA.


Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Sourcing, Recruitment and Selection
• Manage full life cycle recruiting (sourcing/networking, screening, hiring manager and candidate relationships, offers, and onboarding);
   o Coordinate a rigorous and efficient selection process in collaboration with hiring managers, including scheduling and preparing interviews;
   o Source outstanding prospects for teacher, education assistant, school leader positions, and others;
   o Review applications to determine which candidates to advance in the selection process, conduct initial interviews to understand a candidate’s qualifications and fit with SABIS® Schools;
   o Coordinate efficient hiring process in partnership with Human Resources;
   o Source applicants by utilizing cold calling, email, online and face-to-face networking to identify talent;
   o Gather position requirements from hiring manager and translates it into a recruitment strategy to fill open positions;
   o Prepare documents to obtain proper information to evaluate candidate experiences and qualifications;
   o Evaluate applicant’s skills, knowledge and abilities through interviews to recommend talent for open positions;
   o Partnership with leadership and hiring managers to ensure sourcing, recruitment and selection process is inclusive and values the diversity of our staff, students, and families as well as organizational values;
   o Represent SABIS® and its network of schools at community and college functions;
   o Actively seek, establish, and develop relationships with colleges and universities (professors and other staff) as potential sources of recruits. Give presentations as necessary to students and staff as necessary;
   o Assist in improving the SABIS®’ overall recruiting effectiveness through technology tools and stronger hiring manager relationships. Utilize multiple creative techniques to identify and attract passive talent not limited to social media, networking, employee referrals and job postings. Stay apprised of trends and innovative recruitment techniques and suggests changes to improve current practices;
   o Setup new users (i.e. School-based HR Generalists), as needed, with SABISCareer credentials;
• This role will develop long and short-term, cost-effective recruitment strategies working in partnership with hiring managers and SABIS®’ dedicated Human Resources Director;
• Maintain awareness of new recruitment tools to ensure recruitment efforts are efficient and cost-effective;
• Conduct and track outreach and ongoing communication with prospects and applicants;
• Develop and refine recruitment marketing materials (i.e. brochures, website, other collateral) consistent with the SABIS® brand;
• Serve as a compelling ambassador of SABIS® Schools in a variety of settings; Plan and execute outreach/marketing activities to identify and inspire top prospects to apply.

Talent Development
• Grow a robust and diverse pipeline of educators for SABIS® Schools by:
   o Developing a network-wide field experience/student teaching program;
   o Participating in city-wide K-12 human capital and teacher/leader recruitment initiatives;
• Support the implementation of teacher, leader and employee performance management programs;
• Build reports and dashboards to measure recruiting performance based on organizational goals.

Employee Engagement
• Participate in the development and implementation of programs and strategies that drive employee engagement, enhance morale, and communicate critical information;
• Writing internal communications;
• Developing, implementing, and refining an employee onboard program for all new hires;
• Developing and organizing employee recognition initiatives and events.

• Other related duties as assigned based on business need.

• Associates or equivalent experience in Recruiting and/or Human Resources or related field.
• 3-5 year’s full-cycle Talent Acquisition experience in a school environment and/or educational organization;
• High Volume recruiting – ability to manage a requisition load of 20+ at any given time;
• Demonstrated business acumen and consultative skills to work closely with hiring managers at all levels (including Executives). Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills. Experience with various ATS and recruiting systems, as well as with a variety of job boards ideal. In-depth knowledge of data mining and internet research capabilities;
• Self-motivated and high-achieving; thrives on a small team as both an individual contributor and collaborative team member;
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a track record of building strong relationships;
• Demonstrate decision-making skills.
• Ability to align strategy, culture, and process to create a meaningful work environment;
• Demonstrated experience in multiple recruiting methodologies, including direct sourcing, networking, cold calling and referrals. Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately;
• Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and ability to deliver results on multiple priorities simultaneously;
• Knowledge of current federal, state and local laws and regulations. Solid understanding of Affirmative Action and OFCCP regulations regarding Applicant Tracking;
• Comfort and willingness to actively participate the schools’ community(ies);
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and extended workdays as needed;
• Ability to travel as needed.

• PHR or Recruiter certification such as AIRS or LinkedIn desired.
