Located only 23 miles north of New York City in southern Westchester County, the Larchmont-Mamaroneck community has a long-standing tradition of support for quality education in an area that blends suburban living with the amenities of residing on the Long Island Sound Shoreline. The Mamaroneck School Board is seeking a visionary education leader who will:
• Lead with the strength of his or her convictions, always putting students first
• Be highly visible, accessible and inclusive and able to engender broad-based support based on the quality of his or her ideas
• Embrace and exhibit 21st century technological skills and communicate with clarity, verbally and in writing
• Identify and preserve the district’s considerable strengths but be willing to make necessary programmatic changes
• Inspire and motivate a talented faculty, an engaged community, and a highly able student body
• Demonstrate fiscal expertise, political savvy, and exceptional management skills
• Ideally possess prior experience as a superintendent
