The Groton-Dunstable Regional School District invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Superintendent of Schools. The Groton-Dunstable Regional School District, located in northern Massachusetts, serves 2,950 students Pre-K – 12 in the towns of Groton and Dunstable. It is a high-performing district: in 2009, 10th grade MCAS scores place it 8th in statewide rankings. Both towns are highly desirable because of their natural, scenic environment, classic New England town centers, and strong sense of community. The residents of both communities are committed to and supportive of a strong school system. The district’s students are served in an Early Childhood Center, two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. Exciting programs and activities offer students motivating opportunities. The successful candidate for this position must have administrative experience and be licensed or eligible for licensure as a superintendent in Massachusetts. A background in regional schools enhances the candidacy. As the search process moves forward, more specific qualifications will become available. The school committee offers a multi-year contract with a competitive salary for the region commensurate with qualifications and experience, and a competitive benefits package. The starting date will be on or about July 1, 2010. Screening will begin on or about December 22, 2009.
