Jefferson County Public Schools seeks educational leader who is committed to working in a culturally and economically diverse community. JCPS, Kentucky’s largest district serving 98,000 plus students is interested in an individual who:
• Collaborates with other Assistant Superintendents in matters relating to instructional program development and the use of assessment data for the improvement of instruction.
• Supports the implementation of Kentucky Educational Reform Act within elementary schools including curriculum, assessment, staff development, technology, School Based Decision Making, and school plans.
• Participates in the analysis and evaluation of policies and procedures for the elementary schools and early childhood education.
• Provides leadership for regular review of district instructional goals and objectives, program development, implementation, evaluation, and redesign.
• Develops and maintains current knowledge of school operations and programs, existing laws, and administrative directives to ensure that schools are organized and administrated in a manner which promotes student learning and accomplishes the goals of the district.
• Advises and assists principals in developing and evaluating programs addressing attendance, suspensions, and discipline, as well as resolving instructional issues.
• Assures compliance with federal laws, Kentucky statutes, Kentucky Board of Education regulations, and Jefferson County Public Schools policies, rules, and procedures relating to instructional programs.
• Provides timely and accurate formal and informal reports regarding elementary school issues.
• Supervises and evaluates staff including elementary school principals.
• Serves as district liaison representing elementary schools within the community.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Salary Range: $94,000- 136,000
