BASIC FUNCTION: Manage methodology, structures, and standards to enable the District to publish accurate and reliable data. The incumbent will work closely with the Research and Assessment Department.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: (Incumbents may perform any combination of the essential functions shown below. E = Essential Functions

Establish and communicate District's data control policies and standards. E

Lead and prioritize the District-wide data control program, accounting for multiple business requirements. E

Monitor control programs to achieve defined objectives utilizing the following: process mapping, root cause analysis, and performance measurement. E

Advise and support customers to design and build requested computer data projects. E

Implement, and monitor District's data, application and reporting control structures, practices, and technologies. E

Ensure consistency between the direction of individual data project requests and the overall District's strategic plan. E

Ensure data projects meet projected goals, staffing requirements, budget, and timelines. E

Prepare updates, status reports, and current findings for each project. E

Monitor and refine control methodology. E

Serve as District liaison to multiple customers while implementing process and policy change. E

Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the performance and duties of assigned staff. E

Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
TRAINING, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of education, training and/or experience equivalent to: a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, computer science or other related field and three years experience assessing, designing, and leading data management and operational processes.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Valid California Driver's License

Employment eligibility will include fingerprints, tuberculosis and/or other employment clearance

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE OF:

Project management and problem solving strategies

Computer software, hardware, and related technology

Federal, state, and District policies and mandates related to work scope

District's technical, finance, and business process (preferred)

WORKING CONDITIONS
ENVIRONMENT:

Office environment; driving a vehicle to conduct work; fast-paced work, constant interruptions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; hearing and speaking to exchange information and make presentations; seeing to read, write and use the computer keyboard and other office equipment; kneeling and bending at the waist, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally; lifting light objects.
